Co­conutz Rod­ney Bay gives back

Pop­u­lar restau­rant and en­ter­tain­ment spot Co­conutz bar and grill has re­cently an­nounced their first an­nual com­mon en­trance schol­ar­ship pro­gram. Re­cently launched in 2016, man­age­ment of the pop­u­lar Rod­ney Bay evening chill spot saw the need for their cor­po­rate re­spon­si­bil­ity in giv­ing back to the com­mu­nity. Ear­lier this week, man­age­ment and staff held a spe­cial con­grat­u­la­tory mo­ment with the first two schol­ar­ship awardees. Mer­chrishna Min­vielle of the Corinth Sec­ondary School and Aliya Dega­zon of the Sir Ira Sim­mons Sec­ondary School re­ceived their schol­ar­ships this week which will aid in their ad­vance­ment into sec­ondary school for this aca­demic year. An­thony De­fre­itas, owner of the en­ter­tain­ment es­tab­lish­ment con­grat­u­lated the awardees and ad­vised them to “keep up with the good work and aim for the stars!

Mer­chrishna Min­vielle and Aliya Dega­zon were both elated to re­ceive the schol­ar­ship sup­port for their con­tin­ued ed­u­ca­tion.
