Speaking of his appointment Mr. Mayers expressed thanks to the Prime Minister and the government and stated that he was honoured to hold the post. “I look forward to pursuing and articulating the policies of the government,” Mr. Mayers said. He continued, “and to help attract foreign investment to our country. I am mindful of our current unemployment situation and I hope to facilitate opportunities for young people. I pledge to make my country proud.”
