The Saint Lu­cia Blind Wel­fare As­so­ci­a­tion (SLBWA), in col­lab­o­ra­tion with The Em­bassies of Mex­ico and Spain, will be host­ing a fundrais­ing af­ter­noon of ac­tiv­i­ties for chil­dren. The event, called “See Me Now”, will take place at the for­mer Indies Night Club on Satur­day 28th Jan­uary, 2017 from 3 p.m. un­til 6 p.m. Ac­cord­ing to or­gan­is­ers, the ob­jec­tive of the event is to get visu­ally im­paired chil­dren to in­ter­act with each other through fun games and other ac­tiv­i­ties. En­trance fee is EC$5. All pro­ceeds will go to the Saint Lu­cia Blind Wel­fare As­so­ci­a­tion.

Event spon­sors in­clude Heineken, Caribbean Met­als Ltd, Mabouya Val­ley Co-op Credit Union, Soufrière De­vel­op­ment Foun­da­tion, San­dals Grande St. Lu­cian Spa & Beach Resort, Royal by Rex, Wailea Breeze Ltd, Courts Saint Lu­cia and Fletcher’s Tour­ing Ser­vice.

For both Em­bassies, so­cial ac­tion and the forg­ing of part­ner­ships with the or­gan­ised civil so­ci­ety are an im­por­tant part of their pres­ence and their work to de­velop more in­te­gral diplo­matic ties with Saint Lu­cia. The pub­lic is in­vited to sup­port the ac­tiv­ity.
