Cap Maison’s Chef Craig Jones - Caribbean Journal ‘Hotel Chef of the Year’
Craig Jones, a Welsh-born Michelin-trained chef and the Executive Chef at The Cliff at Cap restaurant at Cap Maison Resort and Spa, has been named Hotel Chef of the Year by renowned and wellrespected hospitality publication “The Caribbean Journal”.
Located in the north of the island, Cap Maison’s iconic The Cliff at Cap restaurant is home to not only some of the best culinary selections and visual presentations on the island but also one of the most dramatic views of the Caribbean sea.
Executive Chef Craig Jones is always pushing the envelope on the restaurant’s culinary presentation, creating an international dining experience with a delightful Caribbean twist.
Chef Craig (the Dreadlocked Welshman), a former protégé of Marco Pierre White, has combined an encyclopaedic knowledge of cuisine with fresh organic produce from Saint Lucia’s fertile lands and abundant waters.
Jones started his career at the age of 13 and worked his way from waiter to top awardwinning chef. He still prefers to wear a blue apprentice apron in the kitchen as a reminder that his work is always evolving, his dynamic menu reflecting his commitment to continual innovation and reinvention.
Cap Maison Resort and Spa, the award-winning hotel where Chef Craig is serving up world-class culinary pleasure, is a luxury boutique hotel in a stunning, ocean-view location above its own secluded, sandy beach in one of the most sought-after spots on the island.
The award of Hotel Chef of the Year is not only a win for Chef Craig Jones and the team at Cap Maison Resort and Spa but for the entire island of Saint Lucia and the hotel industry.
