Seaboard Marine recently made public the enhancements to its Miami, Florida Eastern Caribbean ocean freight service. The vessel rotation will now include a new port call at Castries, Saint Lucia. The new weekly service, supported by two container ships, commenced on Thursday, January 26, 2017, departing from Port Miami, Florida with a day transit to Castries.

Speaking about the new service, Stephen Bell, Vice President of Seaboard Marine’s Caribbean Division said, “This direct, weekly service enhancement gives our valued customers an early departure and the shortest available transit time to Saint Lucia. With same day cargo availability at destination, we are confident we will bring increased efficiency to this market.

“With the combined capabilities of our Port Miami facility, our warehouse and our cross-dock operations in Miami, we have the necessary infrastructure to handle cargo of all varieties and from any origin within the United States.”

The documentation and delivery cut-off at Port Miami, Florida is Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. The vessels depart weekly on Thursday with an early morning arrival at Castries every Tuesday. The 5-day transit and early Tuesday morning availability are a unique convenience for customers. The service supports equipment types of all sizes in addition to less-than-container load cargo.

Seaboard Marine has added a direct, weekly service to its existing freight service from Port Miami to Saint Lucia.
