Welcome to another week of STAR Trivia! As part of our upcoming anniversary celebrations we’ll be testing the memory of our readers to see how much you’ve been keeping up with the news. What do you remember about the circumstances surrounding the photo on the right, and the related story covered by our newspaper?
Our trivia challenge will run up until May 24, the date of our anniversary event, and will feature a special prize for the reader with the most correct answers. Questions will be posted every Saturday in the STAR newspaper. Log onto the STAR Facebook page to share your answer.
Last week’s answer: The featured photo on March 4, 2017 accompanied a STAR article published in the year 1993 (October), after two farmers were killed by police who had attempted to restore order at a protest. The photograph was taken at the funeral of one of the men, as he was being planted in the ground by others who’d survived the strike.
