Upon arrival the officers observed a completely burnt wooden structure. The residence was occupied by a family of five individuals. Ten-month-old twin infants were within the structure at the time when the fire allegedly commenced and sustained severe injuries. A male individual, identified as their father, also sustained injuries during an attempt to rescue the twins.
They were conveyed to the Victoria Hospital via private means. Kerri Louis, one of the twins, succumbed to the injuries he sustained during the fire and died at about 2:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017.
