Commissioners of Police Host Town Hall Meeting
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) hosted a Commissioners’ Town Hall Meeting at the Jacmel Community Centre on Wednesday, May 24, 2017.
According to a press statement, the hierarchy of the police used the event as a means of strengthening its community relations throughout the island, having held several successful Community Town Hall meetings in the past.
Ahead of the event, the Commissioners of Police had invited residents of the community to turn out in large numbers to discuss crime and community policing concerns in open and frank discourse. It was announced that the Royal Saint Lucia Police Band would also be on hand to treat the community to several of their popular musical renditions.
The Town Hall Meeting was followed by a series of planned school visits beginning with the Pierrot Combined School and the Delcer Combined School in the south.
On Wednesday, May 24 Gazetted Officers, along with other senior members of the Force, visited the Vide Bouteille Secondary School. The curtains came down on the school visits at the Marchand Combined School on May 25.
