Chamber SME “Finance Buzz”
On July 25, 2017 at the Finance Administration Centre in Point Seraphine, the Saint Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture will host its SME Finance Buzz.
This is a purpose-built event, designed specifically to help the Chamber better understand the needs of its members in the area of “Improving Knowledge of and Access to Finance”. This forum will help inform the work of the project funded by the German Savings Bank Foundation, “Financial Inclusion of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union” which is being piloted in Saint Lucia where the Chamber is an implementing partner.
Members will be brought up to date on the work of the Chamber and will discuss specific issues and areas where they wish the Chamber and the project to provide support in “Improving Knowledge of and Access to Finance”. Thereafter there will be a short presentation on “Key Performance Indicators for SMEs – Key for Success” by Dr. Juergen Engel, Project Manager of the German Savings Bank Foundation who has had decades of experience in SME development in Germany and around the world. He will impart some of his knowledge on SME development and placing SMEs in a better financial position.
The Chamber intends to use the forum to identify areas of support which members may need and hopes that the targeted members come out in large numbers for the event.
