MAYOR OF CASTRIES RE­TURNS FROM OF­FI­CIAL VISIT TO NYC

Mayor of the City of Castries Peter­son D Francis con­cluded a se­ries of meet­ings as part of an of­fi­cial visit to New York City this week. Mayor Francis and his del­e­ga­tion, which in­cluded Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer Anselma Calderon and Press and Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Man­ager Ja­son Hullingseed, left the is­land on Thurs­day July 13, 2017 for New York City.

Whilst there, Mayor Francis and his del­e­ga­tion at­tended meet­ings and par­tic­i­pated in cor­dial ex­changes with New York City Mayor Mr. Bill de Bla­sio, act­ing Brook­lyn Dis­trict At­tor­ney Eric Gon­za­lez, Brook­lyn Bor­ough Pres­i­dent Mr. Eric L. Adams, New York Depart­ment of Small Busi­ness Ser­vices Com­mis­sioner Greg Bishop and City of Ne­wark Deputy Mayor, Mr. Ugo Nwaokoro.

Mayor Francis also met with the Caribbean Amer­i­can Cham­ber of Com­merce Pres­i­dent Roy Ha­stick, New York Po­lice Depart­ment’s Chief of Crime Con­trol Strate­gies Mr. Der­mont Shea and the Pres­i­dent of Green-Wood Ceme­tery in Brook­lyn Mr. Richard Moy­lan.

Francis also paid a cour­tesy visit to staff mem­bers at the St. Lucia Con­sulate and Am­bas­sador Cos­mos Richard­son at the St. Lucia Mis­sion to the United Na­tions.

The se­ries of meet­ings were part of planned strate­gies to cre­ate strong part­ner­ships and build link­ages in an ef­fort to im­prove and de­velop the city of Castries.

Mayor Francis and his del­e­ga­tion re­turned to St. Lucia on Thurs­day July 20, 2017.
