PCD Em­braces Carib Brew­ery Port­fo­lio

Peter & Com­pany Distri­bu­tion (PCD) is pleased to an­nounce that it has ac­quired the port­fo­lio of Carib Brew­ery in Trinidad & Tobago. Some of the brands un­der this part­ner­ship in­clude Royal Stout, Mack­e­son, Smalta, Carib Shandy, Carib Beer and Stag Beer which ear­lier this year won gold at the Monde de Se­lec­tion in Brus­sels adding to many gold medals won in pre­vi­ous years.

One of the flag­ship prod­ucts, Carib Beer, has been a favourite for beer lovers across the Caribbean, in­clud­ing Saint Lu­cia. And this sum­mer con­sumers can ex­pect vig­or­ous pro­mo­tions in­volv­ing Carib.

Carib beer has, over the years, been in­tri­cately linked to two of the is­land’s favourite pas­times – car­ni­val and cricket. PCD in­tends on continuing this le­gacy.

“Carib beer has a long tra­di­tion of as­so­ci­a­tion with cricket, in par­tic­u­lar, and it is for this rea­son that we are once again a part­ner of the 2017 edi­tion of the Caribbean Pre­mier League this sum­mer, which merges the spirit of car­ni­val and par­ty­ing with the sport­ing game of cricket, and we are very happy about that,” stated Ger­maine Serieux, Brand Man­ager for the Caribbean Lager.

Carib beer ear­lier this year signed on to con­tinue as a part­ner of the CPL T20 for the next three years and in Saint Lu­cia launched a “Win­ning In­nings” pro­mo­tion across the is­land which runs from July to Au­gust, ahead of the CPL 2017.

For this pro­mo­tion, one lucky per­son will win a trip for two to Trinidad for the fi­nals of the CPL tour­na­ment, de­scribed as “the big­gest party in sports”. Other prizes and sou­venir items can also be won.

Carib is the of­fi­cial beer of the tour­na­ment across the re­gion, and the brand is work­ing with the tour­na­ment’s mar­ket­ing and spon­sor­ship team to de­liver out­stand­ing fan-cen­tred events.
