Call­ing all Pan and Theatre Lovers

With veteran Di­rec­tor Ken­del Hip­polyte, young suc­cess­ful As­sis­tant Di­rec­tor Michelle Theobalds, and a tal­ented, young cast of Carlisle Grif­fith, De­lano Payne, Ethan James, Haydn Felix, Hen­zel Sa­muel and Jaimie Forde, pan lovers and theatre go­ers are in for quite a treat on Novem­ber 1st and 2nd at the Na­tional Cul­tural Cen­tre with Youth in Arts (YIA) Theatre Com­pany's third an­nual Rod­er­ick Wal­cott Pro­duc­tion, “Shrove Tues­day March” and “Pan Beat­ing”.

The play is cen­tred around two feud­ing steel­band groups and shows Roddy's un­der­stand­ing and love for the steel­band. “Pan Beat­ing”, the sec­ond part of the pro­duc­tion, cel­e­brates the de­vel­op­ment of steel­band and high­lights the strug­gles of the art form in Saint Lu­cia. The cast in­cludes Jaimie Forde, Richard Am­brose, Sh­er­nel Justin, Shan­ice Evariste, Christopher Dun­can, Kazia Fos­ter and Shakir Lu­bin - a won­der­ful blend of ex­pe­ri­ence and cre­ativ­ity.

Tick­ets are avail­able at Our Space, up­stairs Dr. Scot­land's Ve­teri­nary Hos­pi­tal, and on Mon­day and Tues­day at the Na­tional Cul­tural Cen­tre be­tween 5pm and 8pm.
