Calling all Pan and Theatre Lovers
With veteran Director Kendel Hippolyte, young successful Assistant Director Michelle Theobalds, and a talented, young cast of Carlisle Griffith, Delano Payne, Ethan James, Haydn Felix, Henzel Samuel and Jaimie Forde, pan lovers and theatre goers are in for quite a treat on November 1st and 2nd at the National Cultural Centre with Youth in Arts (YIA) Theatre Company's third annual Roderick Walcott Production, “Shrove Tuesday March” and “Pan Beating”.
The play is centred around two feuding steelband groups and shows Roddy's understanding and love for the steelband. “Pan Beating”, the second part of the production, celebrates the development of steelband and highlights the struggles of the art form in Saint Lucia. The cast includes Jaimie Forde, Richard Ambrose, Shernel Justin, Shanice Evariste, Christopher Duncan, Kazia Foster and Shakir Lubin - a wonderful blend of experience and creativity.
Tickets are available at Our Space, upstairs Dr. Scotland's Veterinary Hospital, and on Monday and Tuesday at the National Cultural Centre between 5pm and 8pm.
