Rest In Peace Cornelius

The Star (St. Lucia) - - LOCAL -

When SHE Caribbean publisher Mae Wayne landed the job of producing Hot Couture—an esteemed and innovative fashion show that set the bar for all similar Caribbean events—scores of beautiful, hardworking young men and women grabbed the opportunity to be a part of it. The annual show was marketed with a male and female “Face of Hot Couture” and in 2015 it was a young male model named Cornelius George who landed the coveted honour.

Cornelius brought fun and energy to the late night rehearsals for three years and demonstrated the invaluable qualities of dedication and consistency. And not only in matters connected with his modeling career. Cornelius was an inventive entrepreneur and was assiduous in developing his skills as a photographer and in the creation of online content.

At just 29, he had crossed the lives of many individuals and was an inspiration to others, regardless of age. He was especially admired for his honed musculature and for the generous help he gave others who wished to emulate the results of his rigorous workouts.

We at STAR Publishing would like to extend condolences to the many friends and family of this wonderful, irreplaceable young man who passed away this week. He will also be missed by his Hot Couture friends as well as the Legends Carnival Band with which he was associated.
