Coco Palm wel­comed the Caribbean Premier Cricket League (CPL) and three of the Caribbean cricket teams dur­ing the re­cent CPL 2018 Twenty20 tour­na­ment at the Daren Sammy Na­tional Cricket Sta­dium in Gros Islet.

Cricket fever was pal­pa­ble with play­ers and coaches making Coco Palm their base. De­fend­ing CPL cham­pi­ons Trin­bago Knight Riders (TKR), owned by Bol­ly­wood su­per­star Shah Rukh, along with the Bar­ba­dos Tri­dents and St Kitts Pa­tri­ots, were hosted at the re­sort. Mark Fer­gu­son, Coco Palm’s Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor said, “CPL and the three teams made Coco Palm their home dur­ing the week cre­at­ing a fan­tas­tic at­mos­phere for all who enjoyed our strong Caribbean vibe and cui­sine by Trini Chef Richard­son.”

Dur­ing the com­pe­ti­tion, CPL hosted a pri­vate party at Ti Bananne Caribbean Bar, spon­sored by Digicel, El Do­rado and Carib Beer, and sup­ported by Peter & Com­pany Ltd. DJ Hy­per D spun live mu­sic.

Coco Palm has been home to many crick­eters over the years with the ros­ter now in­clud­ing TKR’s Cap­tain Dwayne Bravo, team­mate Bren­don McCul­lum and Darren Bravo and Bar­ba­dos Trident’s Cap­tain Ja­son Holder with Martin Gup­til and team mates.
