Theatre Arts Teacher and Carnival Queen 2014

Tropical Traveller Magazine - - LOCAL LIFE -

The St Lucia Carnival Queen for this year hails from Soufriere, and in fact represented the Soufriere Regional Development Foundation (SRDF) in the July pageant, when she also won Best Interview, Best in Costume and Best in Evening Wear.

Besides the Piton and Sulphur Springs, what should visitors see in your hometown of Soufriere?

Everything. We have beautiful waterfalls, both hot and cold. There are some wonderful nature trails in and around Soufriere and of course the beautiful people.

Favourite Local Dish?

I love fish so it would definitely have to be fish broth.

Do you play sports?

Despite the fact that I’m quite tall I was never really into sports. I was always the avid bookworm, studying and staying at home. The extra curricular activities I did were always youth-oriented.

Favourite Book?

The Pelican Brief. There is a movie of course but that’s a beautiful book. The book is always better. The use of the language, the expression, you can visualize the images in your head. The movie did justice to it but still the book is the best.
