Wilders is back

-

The report “Dutch party threatens to ban mosques” (Aug. 27) should be taken seriously. The Dutch politician notorious for his hatemongering, Geert Wilders, whose party is tipped to win the next election has proposed to ban mosques, Islamic schools and the Holy Qur’an.

The current Islamophobia in the West is the direct result of Daesh and other terrorist organization’s actions but Wilders hate campaign against Islam started much before the terrorist incidents that took place on the European soil.

On the other hand, there is Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump who wants to bar Muslims from entering the United States. Trump’s stance is also the result of the actions of Daesh and its likes.

Many Muslim countries and western governments have resolved to wipe out this terror group but it seems that we have a long way to go to achieve this joint goal.

Based on the ongoing turmoil in the region, an Israeli journalist wrote that Benjamin Netanyahu is the luckiest Isreali prime minister ever.

The previous Israeli governments had many things to worry about in its neighborhood but nowadays most of the Arab countries are preoccupied with their own problems and so Israel has been pushed down their priority list. He wrote, “Look around now! Not the slightest Arab threat to Israel has remained. All the neighboring Arabs are totally occupied with killing each other.” comes to the Iranian dirty game in the region. It has become evident that Iran is playing a double game in the region. It is simultaneously dealing with the United States and Russia, traditional global rivals.

Tehran is using its nuclear deal with the US and its allies to promote its interests in the region. The nuclear deal is nothing but a mere eyewash. The US is trying to give an impression as if it has reined in Tehran by signing the agreement. We all know that most of the Iranian claims about the advancement of its nuclear programs are just part of its propaganda campaign. Basically, the West signed a deal with Iran over something that does not even exist. The West’s newfound love toward Iran is beyond comprehension. In addition to this nuclear issue, Iran is continuously meddling in the affairs of the Arab world, due to which the wars in the region have been prolonged. The West has turned a blind eye toward Iran and does not appear to take any action against this rogue state, which is bent on establishing its hegemony in the region.
