Bor­der Guards to take part in ‘Peace Gulf 6’ joint GCC naval ex­er­cise

JED­DAH: Saudi Bor­der Guards will par­tic­i­pate in the joint Gulf naval ex­er­cise “Peace Gulf 6” that will be launched in the Ara­bian Gulf with the coast guards of Bahrain and Kuwait, and the sup­port of Saudi Se­cu­rity Avi­a­tion.

The ex­er­cise will be­gin on Mon­day and will last three days, ac­cord­ing to ex­ec­u­tive de­ci­sions of in­te­rior min­is­ters of the Gulf Co­op­er­a­tion Coun­cil (GCC) mem­ber states.

This comes as part of the an­nual train­ing for bor­der and coast guards in the GCC states to sup­port and en­hance co­op­er­a­tion and re­la­tions, pre­pare and re­fine naval staff, ac­quire tech­ni­cal ex­pe­ri­ence, and de­velop skills in naval se­cu­rity in search and res­cue op­er­a­tions by car­ry­ing out joint ex­er­cises.
