Korean girl group Blackpink’s lavish music video “How You
Like That” has set a record for the biggest music video premiere on YouTube. The record was previously held by boy band BTS.
A total of 1.65 million fans gathered to watch the new song.
The song is also their first in a year. It is a single that will be involved in their first full-length studio album which is expected to be released in September.
The music video shows Rose, Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo in a variety of settings, with a song that infuses hip-hop with a hint of Arabic music.
The choreography is also upbeat as they dance along with their backup dancers.
The band received praise for their outfits, with Jimmy Fallon uploading a live performance of the song and saying: “They are unbelievable. Phenomenon is not even the word, you have to invent a new word for this group.”
@Yulldevantofe commented on Lisa’s rapping: “Lisa always delivers her rap with the flow, attitude, skill and vibe all at once. A complete package that all female rappers wish to have.”
