Fans and players of the video game “Fortnite” are unhappy with the new decisions that Epic Games took regarding the “Save the World” mode in the game.

In 2018, Epic Games stated that the “Save the World” mode in the game would eventually be free to play and ever since, players have been eagerly waiting to try the Player vs. Environment mode.

Epic Games have been concentrating on developing the “Fortnite Battle Royale” mode since its successful launch, neglecting the “Save the World” mode and leaving it full of bugs and disgruntled players. On Tuesday, Epic Games announced that they would be bringing “Save the World” out of Early Access, but it will no longer be offered for free in the future, remaining a premium experience and contradicting what they had stated in 2018.

Players seem to be upset with

Epic Games for not making good on their promise and have launched the #SaveSaveTheWorld hashtag on Twitter, which is trending worldwide at No.1. Players used the hashtag to express their thoughts.

@ITalkFortnite tweeted: “My heart hurts for Save the World. The storyline was never finished, even though they claim it is. I hope some good comes out of this. I can’t imagine how people that made their start in Save the World feel right now. I hope something is done to keep it alive.”
