Arguably the most sought-after timepiece from the world’s most famous watch brand, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona has aged incredibly well. In fact, save for some minor tweaks – such as the relocation of its tachymeter scale from the dial to the bezel, and its various permutations in material and colours – little has changed about the watch. Inspired by the car rally of the same name and powered by Rolex’s high-precision inhouse movement, the Cosmograph Daytona still commands a long waiting list after 50 years. Among its most famous owners is late actor Paul Newman, whose wife Joanne Woodward gifted him the watch when he took up automobile racing. This year’s milestone version is possibly its aesthetically boldest yet, flaunting a striking

ice-blue dial and chocolate bezel, paired with a platinum case and bracelet.
