In case you’re wondering, the watch’s name references the three-note musical chord, and not Asia’s crime gangs. As to why he chose such an unusual inspiration, English watchmaker Peter Speake-Marin points to the “3 Notes 1 Meaning” inscription on the dial ring, which he says expresses the amalgamation of his handcraft, technical innovation and passion. The three-part symbolism is also reflected in the dial’s triple hour-and-minute indications, as well as a three-part steel case with rose gold bezel. Solidly built and finished, it is powered by a handfinished, rhodium-plated German silver automatic movement with Speake-Marin’s signature bright blue “mystery rotor”.
