WHO THEY ARE Founded in 1932 by Amer­i­can jew­eller Harry Win­ston, whose lux­u­ri­ous cre­ations have ap­peared in movies and are pop­u­lar with Hol­ly­wood stars and roy­alty. The com­pany started its watch­mak­ing arm in 1989 with women’s jewellery time­pieces, such as the Av­enue and Pre­mier. WHAT’S HOT The Opus 13, the 13th in the se­ries, an ex­tra­or­di­nary watch with 59 piv­ot­ing minute hands, 11 ro­tat­ing tri­an­gles for the hours, and a slid­ing “trap­door” mech­a­nism that al­lows the min­utes and hours to ap­pear or van­ish in­stantly to­wards the cen­tre of the dial.
