WHO THEY ARE Founded in 1853 by Swiss watchmaker Charles-Felicien Tissot to create high-quality, innovative timepieces at affordable prices. CLAIM TO FAME Introduced the first pocket watch with two time zones in 1853, as well as the first antimagnetic watch in 1929. It was also the first to make watches out of plastic, mother-of-pearl, wood and stone. In recent years, it has become known for its revolutionary T-touch (touch-driven) technology that offers eight functions – altimeter, chronograph, compass, alarm, thermometer, barometer, date and time.
