A principal at international law firm Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow, Dawn advises individuals and corporations about issues ranging from tax planning to wealth management. She especially relishes the intellectual challenges that come with her job and being able to “constantly meet and get to know people from very diverse backgrounds”. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS BEING OVERDRESSED. I believe in dressing tastefully for work although there’s no dress code at my office. My style is classic and feminine, so while my clothes are clean-cut, I always try to work in a twist such as an unexpected fabric or texture, bold accessories like long necklaces, or bags in bright colours. I ENJOY DRESSING UP. I’m always in dresses or skirts with heels. I rarely wear pants or jeans. I take about 40 minutes to get ready for work every day. I ADMIRE ANGELINA JOLIE’S STYLE. She’s always so poised and elegant. I RARELY WEAR A WATCH THESE DAYS, BUT MY INDULGENCE IS A BVLGARI SERPENTI DOUBLE COIL TUBOGAS TIMEPIECE. It’s a vintage model and has a round bezel instead of the snake head-shaped ones you see now. It doubles as a statement bracelet. I pair it with a simple shift dress or white shirt and pencil skirt for days at the office. A STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE. My grandmother used to tell me that. It’s the best piece of advice about time I’ve ever received. SADLY, I CAN’T TRAVEL BACK TO MY CHILDHOOD DAYS, SO I TRY TO SATISFY MY SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE BY EXPLORING THE WORLD. I used to enjoy visiting big cities like Paris and New York. Recently, I decided to spend more time in Asia; last December, I went to Bagan and Inle Lake in Myanmar and took lots of spectacular photographs. MY LOVE FOR BVLGARI EXTENDS BEYOND ITS WATCHES. I love the brand’s strong, almost architectural aesthetic, which comes through in iconic pieces such as the Octo watch and B.zero1 rings. I HOARD BVLGARI JEWELLERY. Years ago, I bought two rings from its Spiga collection which I still wear every day. I’m saving up for a Catene bracelet – its gourmette chain is inspired by sautoir necklaces of the ’50s, so it’s really gorgeous. THERE’S ONLY ONE SECRET TO CONFIDENCE. Be true to yourself.
