Asian Diver (English) - - News -

The news that farmed salmon, escaping from Norwegian aquaculture facilities, were mating with wild salmon frequently enough to dilute their genetic stock, was of serious concern for conservationists. It means that wild salmon have decreased genetic variability, which in turn makes them far more susceptible to disease, and even extinction.
