In praise of procrastination

If you didn’t know you could get a custommade suit at Hugo Boss, it’s probably because the service wasn’t available locally. Until now, that is. Singapore enjoys the privilege of being one of only 11 countries to provide the BOSS Made to Measure (MTM) service at its flagship store.

No matter your build, the key to looking great in a suit is to have one tailored specifically for your body. With the newly launched service, clients get the dedicated attention of a specialist at the Ngee Ann City store’s brand new Made to Measure room ‒ from getting properly measured, through fittings, right up to the final delivery.

The beauty of a custom tailored suit also lies in being able to choose the fabric. The suiting selections at BOSS Made to Measure number around 250. Buttons are usually matched to fabric but you can also choose from other exquisite materials for that extra touch of sophistication.

Each BOSS Made to Measure suit is cut and assembled in Metzingen, Germany, where Hugo Boss is headquartered. The suit is based on the precise measurements done here in Singapore. The brand’s unique art of tailoring combines modern techniques with traditional know-how and involves putting together 180 pieces. Getting it shipped back and forth between fittings might mean a long wait but it’s definitely worth it for an original that fits like a proper suit should.
