“For the first time in a very long time, I went on a daytime date. We had met at a club one Saturday night and exchanged numbers.

Her subtle body language cues buoyed the conversations and kept things interesting throughout the date. I definitely noticed the full-faced smile, and I was sure to show off my teeth. Neither of us checked our phones much, except to Instagram our brunches. The conversation was genuine, and we had plenty to talk about.

I asked Christian to give some feedback, and he had this to say: “You achieved something more advanced – you gave pleasure to your date,” he said. He added that my date probably picked up on my interest, and vice versa.

At around midnight, we went our separate ways. We didn’t kiss, but had a good hug and started making plans to meet up again soon. Still waiting on the second date, though.”
