Designed for Decadence

Live in the lap of luxury.

Esquire (Singapore) - - Special Feature -

With distinctive curves rising high and statuesque into the Singapore skyline, it’s hard to miss. As a luxury and lifestyle destination, the look of The South Beach speaks of its exquisite style and true substance, blending super-sleek modernity with heritage buildings. The view, the rooms and the facilities all come together to offer the best in experiential luxury that will leave guests with a story to tell.

Instead of a lobby, seven check-in desks encased in glass inspired by different societies make up the Global Village, serving as a meeting-hall for the globetrotters. A splendid video wall serves as a living canvas for South Korean artist Lee Lee Nam’s collage of shapes, dimensions, illusions and energies, complementing the interior décor by Philippe Starck. Even the drab mundanity of the lifts is stripped away by the unique wallpaper which reveals mysterious sea creatures under RGB lighting as the lift descends and ascends.

Each of the 654 rooms boasts a mix of artistic intuition and comforting serenity. Immerse yourself in the oversized deep soak bathtub or frolic under the overhead rain shower complemented with designer bath amenities. Work on highspeed wireless and wired internet or rest comfortably on the cheekily-designed floating ‘illusion’ bed with 400 threadcount bed linen. With rooms and suites to suit any individual or group, you won’t want to leave your room to explore.

That would be a pity, if not for the marvellous views on offer. Whether you’re working out at the gym or lounging in the infinity pools (both located high up on the 18th floor), or even enjoying a quiet moment on the open-air Sky Gardens, the view is of the perfect, picturesque Marina Bay and Esplanade environs.
