Mu­sic for the Soul

The highly an­tic­i­pated St Jerome’s Laneway Fes­ti­val re­turned for its sev­enth year in Jan­uary. Event-go­ers en­joyed en­er­getic per­for­mances by crowd favourites Bri­tish indie band Glass An­i­mals and Aus­tralian psy­che­delic rock­ers King Giz­zard & the Lizard Wizard, while lo­cal DJS dished up Brit-pop, al­ter­na­tive rock, elec­tro tunes and more, across four mas­sive stages. The crowds of mu­sic fans were also treated to a beau­ti­ful back­drop of the iconic Ma­rina Bay Sands.

Cel­e­brat­ing Down Un­der

More than 800 guests were treated to gourmet food and wine at the an­nual Aus­tralia Day cel­e­bra­tions held on 26 Jan­uary at the Aus­tralian High Com­mis­sion, with welcome speeches from Aus­tralia’s new High Com­mis­sioner, Bruce Gosper, and Sin­ga­pore’s Min­is­ter for Trade and In­dus­try, S. Iswaran.
