Al­though book­ing that re­lax­ing get­away is ex­cit­ing, we don’t all look for­ward quite as much to get­ting into a swim­suit (and the pres­sure to look good in those hol­i­day photos!). Cue boot camp, zumba classes, an im­promptu juice cleanse or even clock­ing in a few per­sonal trainer ses­sions, in an at­tempt to whip our­selves into shape for the oc­ca­sion.

The hard truth is, no mat­ter how ded­i­cated you are to your fit­ness pro­gramme, and how much progress you make to­wards your fit­ness goals, there of­ten re­main a few lumps or bumps on your body that won’t go away. In par­tic­u­lar, our mid­sec­tions seem to hold on to a stub­born few pounds that just won’t shift – be­lieve us, you’re not alone!
