Celebrating Diversity

At the International Fiesta at SAIS this year, students and parents shared and showcased their country’s culture through performances, cuisine, arts and games, plus the students’ parade of national dress. This annual event celebrates the diversity of the school. Students and teachers also enjoyed sampling an array of food from 42 countries, all lovingly prepared by the parents.

Much to Celebrate

The Seasoned Singapore Expat Women Facebook group celebrated its first year with a birthday party at Wild Honey at Scotts Square. Event-goers enjoyed bubbles, canapés and music by Kalli Coplin from Band on the Run.

Get Fit

Thirteen teams of six competed in the Awa-mazing Race organised by the AWA this past February. Participants raced around Singapore completing light physical and fun mental challenges which led them to a secret end

point party.

New Beginnings

Fairprice Antique owner Chantal Travers and her team hosted a fantastic evening with Lush Platter feasts to announce their new chapter, as the store changes its name to Emperor’s Attic. Expat Living readers took part in a lucky draw to help determine the new name, with one lucky winner going home with a stunning piece

worth $2,500!

Splash of Colour

It was a colourful evening at the launch of Bouquet Magnifique Meets Gastronomie at the Sofitel Singapore City Centre. The fourday art exhibition with interactive workshops started off with a lavish soirée showcasing live demonstrations by artist-in-residence Arianna Caroli, as well as the epicurean artistry of the hotel’s chefs and mixologists.

New Store

The Body Firm recently celebrated the opening of its second outlet at Delfi Orchard (#01-04), in addition to its existing space on the fourth floor. The new space now offers nail services on top of its wide range of non-invasive face and body treatments. At this cosy affair, guests were treated to finger food and wine.

All Things NZ

It was a fun and entertaining Waitangi Day as event-goers enjoyed great food, drinks, music and entertainment.
