The modern way to shine aluminum foil

Female (Singapore) - - F-EDIT -

At Chanel, the crinkled, metallic silver finish reminiscent of the ubiquitous, high-shine kitchen wrap appeared on padded coats, quilted stoles and bags. Rei Kawakubo used a similar texture on exaggerated bulbous dresses at Comme des Garcons. And to achieve what it calls a “lunar effect” on a line of oversized, water-proof duvet-parkas (above), Moncler treated the surface of wax cotton with silicon. The next time anyone asks why you’re wearing what looks to be tin foil, tell them: “It’s hot.”
