Nook Restau­rant in Aloft Ho­tel Kuala Lumpur wel­comes Ghana­ian-born chef Phoebe Donko-Han­son, who is set to of­fer a re­fresh­ing change of taste to the ho­tel’s cui­sine.

The chef is al­ready be­gin­ning to wow gourmet eaters with rich culi­nary tra­di­tions from Haiti, Ja­maica, South Amer­ica, Viet­nam and Korea. Vis­i­tors to the ho­tel can look for­ward to scrump­tious dishes such as the Wa­ter­melon Mo­saic, a healthy com­bi­na­tion of beet­root with pick­led onions, black olives, feta cheese and em­bel­lished beet­root dress­ing; the Miso Baked Egg­plant, a com­bi­na­tion of healthy veg­eta­bles and grains like quinoa, as­para­gus, and fried tofu trick­led with soy caramel and lastly the Seared Tuna which is flash seared and gar­nished with healthy veg­eta­bles like car­rots, fresh cu­cum­ber and or­ange supremes topped off with gin­ger or­ange soy emul­sion.

Chef Phoebe’s em­pha­sis on un­usual com­bi­na­tions of flavours and tex­tures is sure to awaken the taste buds be­yond nor­mal ex­pec­ta­tions; of­fer­ing a gen­uine sen­sory treat that should not be missed.
