Cook­ing wine is a type of sake made es­pe­cially for cook­ing. Sake is of­ten used in mari­nades for meat and fish to make them more ten­der, as well as to mask their smell. For cook­ing pur­pose, sake can keep for two or three months, or even half a year if you store it in a cool, dark place.
