The Asam Pedas Ban­dar Maharani has won a place to be called the best dish in the Swiss-gar­den In­ter­na­tional Ho­tel Chain. Grand prize win­ner Chef Hik­mal Hisham Ram­lee and his team from Swiss-inn Jo­hor Bahru beat 6 other top chefs to claim home the prize of RM1,500, a cham­pi­onship chal­lenge tro­phy and the op­por­tu­nity to travel to all Swiss-gar­den In­ter­na­tional prop­er­ties to pro­mote and train the chefs at each prop­erty on how to pre­pare the win­ning dish.

Com­ing in 2nd was Swiss Gar­den Ho­tel Me­laka's Ny­onya Laksa cour­tesy of Chef Yong Chin Kiat and his team which took home the 1st run­ner up prize of RM1,000. Last but cer­tainly not least was Swiss Gar­den Ho­tel Kuala Lumpur's Ayam Percik Ke­lan­tan pre­pared by Chef Has­naer­dawaty Md Hanapi and team which claimed the prize of RM500.

The in­au­gu­ral Swiss-gar­den In­ter­na­tional Culi­nary Chal­lenged fea­tured Chef Zu­bir Zain of Masterchef Malaysia along­side Mar­cus Low, the run­ner-up of Masterchef Asia and Chef Sabri Has­san as honourable judges.

The event was of­fi­ci­ated by Tan Sri Ong Leong Huat, Group Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor and CEO of OSK Group.
