Swiss-garden International Hotel & Residences
The Asam Pedas Bandar Maharani has won a place to be called the best dish in the Swiss-garden International Hotel Chain. Grand prize winner Chef Hikmal Hisham Ramlee and his team from Swiss-inn Johor Bahru beat 6 other top chefs to claim home the prize of RM1,500, a championship challenge trophy and the opportunity to travel to all Swiss-garden International properties to promote and train the chefs at each property on how to prepare the winning dish.
Coming in 2nd was Swiss Garden Hotel Melaka's Nyonya Laksa courtesy of Chef Yong Chin Kiat and his team which took home the 1st runner up prize of RM1,000. Last but certainly not least was Swiss Garden Hotel Kuala Lumpur's Ayam Percik Kelantan prepared by Chef Hasnaerdawaty Md Hanapi and team which claimed the prize of RM500.
The inaugural Swiss-garden International Culinary Challenged featured Chef Zubir Zain of Masterchef Malaysia alongside Marcus Low, the runner-up of Masterchef Asia and Chef Sabri Hassan as honourable judges.
The event was officiated by Tan Sri Ong Leong Huat, Group Managing Director and CEO of OSK Group.
