If you’ve en­joyed Waku Ghin’s desserts at Epi­curean Mar­ket, you’ll be pleased to know that the fine din­ing restau­rant at Ma­rina Bay Sands re­cently launched Patis­serie Pla­tine, a lovely cafe ac­ces­si­bly lo­cated near the en­trance of Ma­rina Bay Sands Ho­tel at RISE Lounge. Led by ex­ec­u­tive pas­try chef Ya­sushi Ishino, ev­ery pas­try here is in­tri­cately de­signed and crafted by hand, us­ing qual­ity in­gre­di­ents and fresh sea­sonal fruits from Ja­pan and Europe. Our all-time favourite is def­i­nitely the Ghin Cheese Cake (S$12), one of Patis­serie Pla­tine’s sig­na­ture cakes, and also one of the most well re­ceived desserts at Waku Ghin since its in­cep­tion in 2010. Fans of mac­arons will ap­pre­ci­ate Patis­serie Pla­tine’s mac­aron se­lec­tion (S$25 for a box of 12), which in­cludes an as­sort­ment of de­light­ful flavours such as rum and raisin, pis­ta­chio, cof­fee, pas­sion fruit and mango, as well as choco­late and rasp­berry.
