Bur­dock Root

A slen­der, brown-skinned root veg­etable that grows to more than two feet in length, bur­dock root, which is of­ten used in Ja­panese cook­ing, fea­tures a sweet flavour and crunchy tex­ture, sim­i­lar to lo­tus root. Bur­dock root is also well loved for its im­pres­sive health ben­e­fits in­clud­ing its abil­ity to aid di­ges­tion, detox­ify the liver, bal­ances hor­mones, im­prove skin health, re­duc­tion in­flam­ma­tion, as well as lower blood pres­sure.
