Grown in Chi­ang Rai, Thai­land - the tem­per­ate cli­mate there av­er­age at 15°C dur­ing the months of Novem­ber, De­cem­ber and Jan­uary, which makes it suit­able for plant­ing short-grain rice that have sim­i­lar qual­i­ties to those grown in Ja­pan – cou­pled with the team’s metic­u­lous at­ten­tion to the rice cul­ti­va­tion process, en­sures a prod­uct that is un­matched, and of ex­cep­tional qual­ity.

Also known as a type of high-end, short grain rice, sim­i­lar to koshi­hikari but slightly less sticky, ak­i­tako­machi is ideal for pre­par­ing dishes like sushi, oni­giri, bento, and even mochi, where a bit of chewi­ness is re­quired.
