Culture in a teacup

Food and Travel (Singapore) - - Table Talk -

Inspired by different cultures, Gryphon Tea Company has launched a new collection called Mémoire du Voyage, inviting tea lovers to experience a traveller’s journey through the tea creations made with ingredients indigenous to each culture. The first blend in the series is Raja Ulam, inspired by a Malaysian mixed herb rice or rice salad called Nasi Ulam. To reflect the flavours of the dish, the tea includes lemon basil, an ingredient that is commonly used in the dish, with a blend of oolong tea, ginger, lemongrass and lemon peel to complete the tea. Packed in an elegant box with traditional Batik print, the tea blend pairs well with local favourite Nasi Lemak and can also be enjoyed cold with a tropical fruit salad. S$14 for a box of 15 sachets. Exclusively available at www.gryphontea.com/store.html or at The Cocoa Tress at Changi Airport.
