Amaranth Flour

Food and Travel (Singapore) - - Cook's Basics -

Amaranth flour, which has a nutty, earthy flavour, is rapidly rising in popularity thanks to its glutenfree properties. This flour type is also rich in protein, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, and iron, which is said to be able to help fight diabetes, support bone health and provide the body with necessary protein. Amaranth flour also contains high levels of folate, which is extremely beneficial to pregnant women. Use this flour in baked goods and confectionaries, such as crepes, quiche crusts, pizza dough, cookies, muffins and more.
