Quinoa Flour

Food and Travel (Singapore) - - Cook's Basics -

Made by grinding whole quinoa seed, quinoa flour, which is high in protein, and one of the few plant foods that contain all nine essential amino acids, looks and feels like all-purpose flour and can be used in a variety of different baking recipes including muffins, cakes, breads, cookies, pies, and more. It can also be used in savoury dishes, such as soups, stews, and even gravies as a thickening agent. An excellent ingredient for gluten-free baking, quinoa flour is also high in fiber, magnesium, B vitamins, iron, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin E, and various beneficial antioxidants.
