What w would the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom be like today, in our digitally-driven world? Highly connected, incredibly techsavvy and gilded, obviously. This is exactly what S Singaporean designer, Olivia Lee drew inspirationins from for “Where Athena Lives: The Athena Collection,” a series of sleek, pastel-perfect furniture. What Lee has done is reimagine analogue objects for modern-day habits—think a vanity set with a mirror encircled by a ring light to illuminate miens for precise beautification,b selfies and video creation; additionala Sceptres from a swivelling smartphonesma holder to a trinket pedestal; and a carpetcar with tactile border details to demarcate the “safe zone” for gamers plugged into virtual reality.rea There are also candy-coloured foam panelspa that serve as acoustic buffering when hunghu on walls or seating pads when taken down,d and the sleekest tray perfect for laptop workw and breakfast in bed. So covetable, it’s non wonder they were a hit at Milan’s recent furnituref extravaganza, Salone del Mobile 2017.
