MIU MIU

The “madness of glamour” was how Miuccia Prada described her latest outing for Miu Miu. As if to underscore her point, she wrapped the show venue in purple faux fur, including the grand staircases from which the models gingerly descended; some clad in kitschy ensembles of pastel-toned shaggy hats, plush coats or embellished sweaters and skirts, others in clear plastic raincoats with big detachable fur collars. The designer bravely mixed eras and clashed ’40s-style dresses with ’60s retro prints, and threw ’70s knits and flared pants into the mix. Talk about excess all eras!
