TONGUE TWISTERS

What would make a day out at the Botanic Gardens even better? Ice cream—and some tantalising renditions can be found at Botanico at The Garage. If you’re hungry, order the Seabass Ceviche, an inspired interpretation of assam laksa featuring cubes of succulent fish cured in green chilli, pomegranate and shaved ginger flower, served with tamarind-dressed glass noodles and… A quenelle of shrimp paste ice cream. Savoury ingredients in turn pervade the dessert menu, and those with not-so-sweet tooths will love the Jalapeño Cream Cheese Ice Cream with charred pineapple, dehydrated bacon financiers and micro coriander; and the Asparagus Custard with Tarragon Ice Cream that looks like a garden on a plate, laced with chardonnay vinegar glaze, grapefruit gel and hazelnut almond crumble.
