a love Priscilla & Colin like this
Priscilla Wang and Colin Wang oversaw every detail of their big day and dazzled their guests with a poolside solemnisation followed by a spectacular ballroom bash at Capella Singapore.
Our love story started back in 2010 when we met as colleagues at Singapore General Hospital. I was smitten with Priscilla from the first time I saw her. She was always chirpy and cheerful despite our long hours. After a month, I plucked up enough courage to ask her out for a coffee after work, and that was our first date.
I wanted our proposal to be an intimate memory shared just between both of us. I planned months ahead, starting with designing a custom engagement ring, and finally asking for her hand at Waku Ghin at Marina Bay Sands in a private and cosy setting.
They say a wedding celebration is the biggest party one can throw. We wanted our guests to enjoy and remember this day for years to come. We felt immensely thrilled and honoured to have so many of our friends and relatives there to share our joy. The celebration wouldn’t have been this fun and meaningful without these people who matter.
We were also stoked to be able to have our dog, Keio, join us on our big day. It was one of the reasons we chose Capella as our wedding venue; as it is a pet-friendly hotel. His appearance in a tailored tuxedo as the ring bearer triggered plenty of cheers from our guests!
We didn’t have an encompassing theme in mind, but we did know from the start that our ideal wedding setting should be timeless, classy and elegant.
“We both like protea flowers, so they became quite the highlight
for our floral decor.”
We were fortunate to be able to work closely with vendors who were able to understand our ideas and style.
Dora Wong from Capella Hotel did a splendid job with the ballroom florals and decor. Jessica Lee from CC Lee Design gave us our dream poolside solemnisation, as well as helped spruce up our reception area. We have Ina.Shea to thank for the gorgeous bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids.
Priscilla looked stunning in her gowns! It was the hardest part of the wedding planning for her, but with the help of our bridal boutiques – which were so patient and kind throughout – she decided on a romantic and dreamy Lee Petra Grebenau gown for our daytime festivities, and two alluring and elegant evening gowns by Galia Lahav for our banquet.
While it drizzled in the morning as forecast, the weather remarkably cleared up in time for us to have the most beautiful sunset during our poolside solemnisation. Another moment we will never forget: watching our same-day edits by XD Studios, which blew our minds and gave us goosebumps.
We also prepared a childhood montage video in which we expressed our love and gratitude to our families. Watching them be moved to tears was unforgettable as well.
“Our wedding planning journey turned out to be fulfilling and personal, and gave us many great moments to look back upon together.”
