Revive your hair colour without colouring it

Kerastase Touche Revivant Ritual, from $121

Herworld (Singapore) - - SCHWARZKOPF SPECIAL -

WHAT: A colour-correcting, in-salon treatment that refreshes your hair colour. Book it as early as two weeks after your new dye job to maintain condition, colour, softness, bounce and shine for up to 40 days. The treatment uses Kerastase’s new Reection Chromatique, a range of products for coloured hair that includes two shampoos, a conditioner and a hair mask. It also uses the Touche Chromatique Shade Reviving Pen (in four shades: Cool Red, Cool Copper, Cool Brown and Cool Blonde), an innovative product that dispenses a concentrated dye to be mixed into the mask to revive hair colour. The 30-minute session begins with a colour diagnosis to determine your hair shade. A customised treatment is applied and left on for 10 minutes to enhance shine and repair damage. A blend of the Touche Chromatique Shade Reviving Pen and hair mask follows.

WHERE: Mi The Salon, #03-19 Ion Orchard, tel: 6884-7757. For a full list of Kerastase salons, visit http://hair-salons.keras

VERDICT: “The ash-brown colour of my hair has faded signicantly since I last dyed it in June. I was prescribed the Cool Copper shade to revive the brown tones and neutralise the lighter ends (from previous bleaching). After the treatment, my hair looked like it had been given a new coat of colour – minus the unpleasant ammonia scent and scalp irritation. Friends and family asked me several times if I had gone for a dye job, and my hair felt softer. At home, I swopped my regular haircare for the Kerastase Reection Chromatique series, and continued the Shade Reviving Penand-mask routine every three washes for colour maintenance, using the dosage recommended by Kate Lim, Kerastase’s senior educator. Following the salon’s dosage instructions is vital for not ending up with an unnaturally intense colour. My hair remains supple and glossy even a month later.”
