Lots of design, decor and deals for participants of Home & Decor’s signature D- Tour!
In line with Home&Decor’s popular Shop-Hop events, the magazine recently launched another unique shopping experience aimed at bringing participants to interesting design destinations. The inaugural D-tour was held on Saturday, Nov 25, 2017, where 90 participants jumped aboard our buses as we took them to three exciting stops – City Gas, Bosch and PickJunction – to learn about useful products and furnishings for their homes.
At City Gas Gallery, the first stop of the day, participants were taken on a showroom tour and introduced to City Gas’ range of appliances, such as gas heaters, clothes dryer and detectors. In the Cross Street showroom, participants were treated with live product demonstrations by staff. Two attentive participants were rewarded in the lucky draw where only correct answers to the quiz questions stood to win the prizes, and walked away with a handy City Gas gas detector worth $115.
The next stop was Bosch, where the highlight was a cooking demonstration Chef Joseph Yeo from SPRMRKT, who showed off his delicious recipe for a whole salt-baked barramundi using Bosch ovens. Helpful staff were also present to answer questions and introduce the brand’s latest products.
A VitaExtract Slow Juicer worth $699 was also taken home by a participant in the lucky draw.
After replenishing their energy with a buffet lunch, participants were brought on a tour around the fourth and fifth floors of the onestop shopping spot for furniture and homeware, PickJunction Experiential Centre, home to brands such as Ethnicraft, For The Common Goods and Four Star. Again, participants did not leave empty-handed – apart from the lucky draw where winners won cash vouchers and bean bags, other participants also walked away with $100 PickJunction gift vouchers in the game they played.
All the participants enjoyed their experience of the first edition of the
Home&Decor D-Tour. Be sure to look out for upcoming D-Tours in 2018, where we will take you to even more interesting places to learn how to furnish and care for your home.
