Since 1980, Restau­rant As­so­ci­a­tion of Sin­ga­pore (RAS) has been act­ing as a col­lec­tive voice for Sin­ga­pore’s F&B in­dus­try. Through the decades, our mem­ber­ship has grown sig­nif­i­cantly and has a good rep­re­sen­ta­tion of all sub-sec­tors in the F&B in­dus­try, in­clud­ing full-ser­vice restau­rants, quick-ser­vice restau­rants, cafés, bistros, gas­trop­ubs, cater­ers, food sup­pli­ers and many other food-re­lated or­gan­i­sa­tions and in­di­vid­u­als, among our more-than-350 mem­bers.

While we en­vi­sion to be the thought leader and apex body rep­re­sent­ing the F&B in­dus­try, pro­vid­ing mem­bers with in­valu­able re­sources for con­tin­ued busi­ness success, we are also ac­tively rais­ing the pro­file of the in­dus­try through or­gan­is­ing events that recog­nise the ef­forts of both in­di­vid­u­als and or­gan­i­sa­tions. The an­nual Star Chef Com­pe­ti­tion pro­vides a plat­form for Sin­ga­pore’s finest chefs to show­case new and ex­cit­ing dish cre­ations and to give recog­ni­tion to them. The RAS Epi­curean Star Award, also held an­nu­ally, hon­ours the topof-the-class F&B con­cepts that have tabled in­no­va­tive dishes and de­liv­ered con­sis­tent stel­lar food and ser­vice. Other than these high-key in­dus­try events, RAS also reg­u­larly or­gan­ises net­work­ing events in­volv­ing key rel­e­vant gov­ern­ment agen­cies with mem­bers to dis­cuss cur­rent and fu­ture is­sues as well as drive im­prove­ments and bet­ter­ment of the in­dus­try.

Through our com­mit­ment to ad­vance the F&B in­dus­try, RAS is driven to con­tin­u­ously en­hance the qual­ity of our events and pro­grammes to bet­ter serve our mem­bers, and pro­vide plat­forms for busi­ness success.

At RAS, we are fo­cused on our mission to pro­mote in­dus­try de­vel­op­ment and ex­cel­lence through cham­pi­oning, pro­mot­ing and ad­vanc­ing the com­mon needs, in­ter­ests and as­pi­ra­tions of Sin­ga­pore’s F&B com­mu­nity. As such, we are pleased to en­dorse the Hos­pi­tal­ity Re­source Direc­tory as a plat­form for rel­e­vant in­dus­try play­ers to ob­tain re­li­able in­for­ma­tion of sup­pli­ers and man­u­fac­tur­ers in the Asian re­gion.
