Geeks from the 90s should remember Shadowrun, the RPG which mashed cyberpunk and fantasy into a dystopian future (think Blade Runner meets Lord of the Rings). Shadowrun creator, Jordan Weisman, certainly remembered it – enough to start a Kickstarter campaign to make the Shadowrun game he always wanted.

Roughly a year and US$1.8 million later, we have Shadowrun

Returns, a turn-based single player RPG for the PC and Mac. In the world of Shadowrun, you play as a shadow runner – a mercenary who gets things done “by any means necessary”.

Play as a Street Samurai or Physical Adept for the tanks, Shaman or Mage for the magic users, or Riggers and Deckers which can plug their consciousness directly into drones and computers (think The Matrix). The game’s class-less skill system lets you grow in any direction you want, and you can play as a human, ork, troll, dwarf or elf.
