The DMC-GM1K produced consistently good images with great detail thanks to the larger Micro Four Thirds sensor it shares with the higher-end Lumix DMC GX7. Autofocus is fast and accurate, and the colors captured were the most accurate of the three. We’d readily go up to ISO 3200 on this one, and we’d argue that you could get printworthy images even at ISO 6400 thanks to the grain-like noise. Again, the larger sensor size helps in this aspect, as the DMC-GM1K had less noise compared to the other two at high ISOs. As a result, you could argue that the images were just as detailed as the NX Mini despite having a lower megapixel count.

Detail is well preserved, even at ISO 3200.

The DMC-GM1K’s larger sensor gives great detail.
